If Willa Cather had not stopped publishing just before the beginning of My Big Fat Reading Project which starts in 1940, I would have read more of her. I loved My Antonia. And she seems to have been quite a woman! Someday. Enjoy your spin number book and I will look forward to your review!
My Antonia is one of the two Cather novels I’ve read and I loved it too. I think your project is a great idea, but it’s a shame it means less time for earlier authors.

Someday I will read some Willa Cather – maybe you’ll tempt me with your review of this one! I got The Catcher in the Rye, but I’m trying to be brave about it… 😉
I’ve had mixed feelings about Willa Cather so far – I loved My Antonia but found The Professor’s House very slow. This is supposed to be one of her best, though, so I’m looking forward to it. Maybe The Catcher in the Rye will surprise you!
Maybe I should try this just so that I get to read authors like Willa Cather who have been on my mental tbr list for what seems like ever but who always get pushed to one side by something more immediate.
Being part of the Classics Club has pushed me into trying lots of authors who might otherwise have stayed on my mental tbr forever. Some of them have even become favourites.
The only work I’ve read by Cather…but it’s magnificent. I think you’ll enjoy it.
